Mowing:
We use mulching mowers designed to return nutrients to the soil with mower blades that are sharpened on a frequent and regular basis to ensure a proper cut and to promote the general health of the lawn. We can bag clippings for special circumstances. Golden Lawn Care always leaves a clean finish in which we and our customers take pride. Mowing of turf areas is completed approximately every seven (7) days for the year, starting approximately mid-April and ending October 31st.
Trimming:
String trimming around all buildings, landscape beds, trees, shrubs and flowers is usually completed once a week with mowing to leave a neat finish.
Edging:
Edging of sidewalks, driveways and other hard surfaces is usually completed at least twice a month with mowing for excellent definition of the lawn and hard surfaces.
Post-Mowing Clean Up:
Sidewalks, driveways, curbs and adjacent features will be cleared of debris as needed after each mowing. We aim to leave a property looking as if we had never been there; except for the fact that the lawn is freshly manicured!
Fall Clean Up:
Debris and leaves from all landscaped beds and turf areas will be removed or mulched. Fall Clean-up services will commence November 1st and continue until approximately December 1st. This service will be conducted every 7- 14 days at the discretion of the contractor. At times the debris may be collected at a designated area at the site and will be picked-up no later than 24 hours later.
Spring Clean Up:
This service is performed once a year to prepare the property for the next season. Debris and leaves that collected over the winter will be gathered and removed.
Core Aerating:
Aerating is one of the single most important and beneficial services for a lawn. Cores about ¾ inches in diameter are removed from the lawn at a rate of about 16-24 per square foot. This reduces soil compaction, a major problem afflicting most landscapes, allowing for increased root growth and creating pathways for air, water, and nutrients to directly reach the root zone. Golden Lawn Care achieves the maximum number of cores by performing a double pass on all turf areas.
Over Seeding:
This service is conducted to fill in bare/ thin spots in the existing turf-grass areas and creates a more lush lawn. Over seeding after core aeration is a common industry practice and is an optimal time to perform this service.
Hedge Trimming:
This service is generally performed at least twice a year depending on the species of shrub. Any new growth will be trimmed back to a neat and formal looking shape to keep your property looking its best.
Gutter Cleaning:
Leaves, debris, and other objects collect in the gutters over time and must be removed to maintain proper flow and drainage. Once or twice a year is recommended to avoid long term issues with the gutter system.
Mulch/Topsoil/Gravel:
These products are available for delivery and installation in several varieties. Please ask us!
Weeding:
Weeding is necessary for any ornamental area to remain neat and looking its best. This service is completed at scheduled intervals for best results.
Pruning:
Pruning of trees and shrubs is necessary to maintain the health of the plant and reduce any potential hazards that a dead, broken, or low limbs may cause. Proper pruning techniques are used and any debris will be collected and removed.
Fertilizer Application:
We can meet any of your lawn care needs whether it is a basic plan all the way up to the elite plan offered. You will receive a free lawn analysis and a plan designed to eliminate weeds and disease for a healthy, worry free lawn.
Tree/Stump Removal:
Golden Lawn Care does not remove trees or grind stumps, but can refer a reliable and qualified company.
Snow Services:
Snow and ice will not keep you concerned during the winter when Golden Lawn Care is on the job. From November 1st to April 15th we will be there to make certain your property is cleared and attended to properly. Commercial accounts only.
